Marion Peterson (died 2020) was the grandmother of Boomer and also a good friend of Annie Marks. It was originally planned by Annie, Beth Boland and Ruby Hill to act as if they were home help and steal money form Marion. However, Annie felt immensely guilty for what she had done and returned the stolen items to Marion's home. Marion had, in fact, forgiven her and the two formed a close bond. However, their friendship ended when it was revealed Boomer was alive and Marion was allowing him to hide out in her house.
Marion moved into a nursing home after a fall. It was later revealed she died in her sleep. Her final wish was for her ashes to be scattered at Lake Okaboji, the place she married Grandpa John.
